Albert Breton est un économiste canadien enseignant à l'université de Toronto. Il est apparenté aux fondateurs de l'école du Choix Public grâce à ses travaux de 1965 et 1974. Il a étudié les processus démocratiques, la décentralisation et la concurrence entre les gouvernements locaux, notamment sur le plan fiscal.
