Charles W. Baird est un économiste américain. Il a soutenu sa thèse (Ph.D) à l'université de Californie, Berkeley en 1968. Il a passé 5 années à la faculté d'UCLA. Depuis 1976, il est Professeur d'Economie à l'Université d'État de californie, East Bay (CSUEB).
Il est spécialiste de l'analyse économique du droit du Travail, de l'analyse économique de la politique et du système fiscal. Il a écrit également sur les problèmes de l'écologie et sur l'école autrichienne d'économie.
