Gerard Casey

Gerard Casey, né en 1951, est Professeur de la Faculté de Philosophie de l'University College Dublin, dont il fut le directeur de 2001 à 2006. Il est également professeur auxiliaire à l'Institut Maryvale à Birmingham, au Royaume-Uni, et chercheur associé au Ludwig von Mises Institute, à Auburn, en Alabama, aux États-Unis. En plus d'être diplômé en philosophie (Université de Cork et Université de Notre Dame), il a aussi des diplômes en droit (Université de Londres et University College Dublin).

Gerard Casey a été actif dans la politique irlandaise dans les années 1990 et il a dirigé le Christian Solidarity Party entre 1993 et 1999. Il adopte maintenant une attitude anti-politique avec la philosophie libertarienne.

Il apparaît de temps à autre à la radio et la télévision sur des questions d'actualité sociale et politique. Ses domaines d'intérêts comprennent la philosophie politique et la philosophie du droit.
