Steve Davies

Steve ou Stephen Davies, né le 4 février 1955, est maître de conférences au département d'Histoire Economique, à l'université Metropolitan à Manchester au Royaume-Uni. Ses recherches actuelles portent sur l'origine de la modernité et il met en valeur les apports de l'évolution de l'économie mondiale depuis le Moyen Age. Dans ses différentes interventions il s'est penché sur la théorie de l'impérialisme, pourquoi la taille de l'Etat a diminué au cours du 19ème siècle ainsi que sur l'histoire médiévale de la Chine.
