Roland Vaubel

Roland Vaubel (né en 1948) a étudié dans les universités de Munich, en Allemagne, d'Oxford et de Columbia (New York). Il est titulaire d'un Master of Arts en économie (1972). En 1980, il est devenu professeur d'économie monétaire à l'Université Erasmus de Rotterdam (Pays-Bas).

Depuis 1984, il occupe le poste de professeur d'économie à l'Université de Mannheim. Il est membre du Conseil consultatif universitaire du ministère de l'économie de l'Allemagne et membre de l'Institut des affaires économiques, à Londres.

Ses domaines de recherche portent principalement sur les problèmes monétaires (concurrence des monnaies) et du fédéralisme concurrentiel en adoptant les outils de l'école du Public Choice.
