Samuel Brittan

Sir Samuel Brittan est né le 29 décembre 1933. Il travaille en tant que chroniqueur au Financial Times. Il est également écrivain et conseiller auprès de l'Administration anglaise. Il est allé à l'université de Cambridge où il eut comme enseignants libéraux, Peter Bauer et Milton Friedman.

En 1961, il prend le poste de rédacteur économique au journal The Observer, poste qu'il garde jusqu'en 1964. En 1965, il est nommé conseillé au ministère des affaires économiques. En 1966, il retourne dans le monde des média en tant que commentateur économique au Financial Times. En mars 1981, il se fait remarquer en soutenant la politique de Margaret Thatcher. Il est ensuite membre du comité Peacock sur la question des finances de la BBC entre 1985 et 1986.
