James T. Bennett

James T. Bennett est un économiste américain, professeur émérite à l'université George Mason. Il y est titulaire de la Chaire William P. Snavely en économie politique et en politique publique au département d'économie ainsi que directeur de l'Institut John M. Olin. Il a obtenu son doctorat à la Case Western Reserve University en 1970 et il s'est spécialisé dans la recherche liée aux questions de politique publique, de l'économie du gouvernement, de la bureaucratie, des syndicats et des organismes de bienfaisance de la santé.

Il est le fondateur et rédacteur en chef du Journal of Labor Research et il a publié plus de 60 articles dans des revues professionnelles comme l'American Economic Review, la Review of Economics and Statistics, la Policy Review, Public Choice, et le Cato Journal. Il est chercheur adjoint de la Heritage Foundation et membre de la Société du Mont-Pèlerin ainsi que de la société de Philadelphie.
